Offshore software and web development for Brisbane
Brisbane is the Australian market where our experience transfers most directly. The systems a Queensland mining-services or civil-engineering firm needs are close to what we have been building for cement, steel and industrial clients in eastern India for twenty years.
Brisbane is a working city rather than a corporate one. Its economy runs on resources services, construction and civil engineering, logistics, agriculture and the substantial supply chain feeding all of them. The businesses are operationally complex and, in a great many cases, running that complexity on spreadsheets.
That is precisely the problem we have spent two decades solving in India. A Queensland firm doing civil works with plant hire, multiple sites and progress claims has structurally the same problem as a Howrah fabricator with job costing across shops: work is happening, money is being spent, and nobody can tell you accurately what a job cost until weeks after it finished. The regulatory wrapper differs. The engineering does not.
Brisbane also has a scheduling advantage that the southern capitals do not. Queensland does not observe daylight saving, so the gap to India holds at four and a half hours all year. A standing call set in March is still at the right time in November, which removes a small recurring irritation that Sydney and Melbourne engagements carry.
The Brisbane sectors we work in
Brisbane is the Australian market where we are most obviously useful, because the systems a Queensland mining-services or civil-engineering firm needs are close to what we already build for cement, steel and industrial clients in eastern India. Queensland also holds a steady time offset year-round, which makes scheduling simpler than the southern states.
Areas and precincts we serve
Remote delivery, so geography inside Queensland makes no difference to what we can do. Listed because buyers ask.
Where the Indian industrial experience actually transfers
It is worth being specific about this rather than claiming general capability, because the transfer is real in some areas and not in others.
Job and project costing is the clearest. A system that takes labour, plant, materials and subcontract costs against a job and tells you the margin while the job is still running, rather than after it closed, is something we have built repeatedly. The inputs differ between a Queensland civil contractor and an Indian fabricator; the structure is identical.
Production and plant reporting is the second. Automating the daily numbers that someone currently assembles by hand before a morning meeting, with the definitions agreed in writing beforehand so the meeting stops being an argument about whose figure is right. We have done this for cement and steel plants and the pattern is the same for a Queensland quarry or processing operation.
Field and site data capture is the third, and it carries the hardest design constraints. Interfaces used on a site need large targets, contrast that survives glare and a grimy screen protector, one-handed operation, and tolerance for no signal. A form that takes ninety seconds where the paper docket took twenty will be abandoned, and the abandonment will be blamed on resistance to change rather than on the design.
Where we do not transfer: Australian workplace health and safety compliance specifics, award interpretation for payroll, and state regulatory reporting formats. We build to a specification; someone who knows those should write it.
In practice
Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a proposal template.
Thirty minutes with a senior engineer. You leave with an architecture sketch and an honest cost range, whether or not you hire us.
The Queensland timezone advantage
Queensland does not observe daylight saving. The gap to Indian Standard Time is therefore four and a half hours, constant, all year.
That sounds trivial and is not. Engagements with Sydney and Melbourne carry a twice-yearly shift that has to be managed, and standing meetings drift unless someone actively corrects them. Brisbane engagements do not. A weekly call fixed at two in the afternoon Brisbane time stays correct indefinitely.
Our working day of 09:30 to 19:30 IST is 14:00 to midnight in Brisbane, so the overlap is your afternoon against our morning: a consistent three hours. Enough for a substantial weekly call, occasional ad-hoc conversation, and a written handover at the end of our day that is waiting when you start.
For operational projects this matters more than for marketing ones. When we are building something that touches production, being able to schedule reliably with site staff who are not office-based is worth a good deal.

Working with businesses that cannot stop
The constraint that defines industrial work is that the operation keeps running. A civil contractor working to committed programme dates cannot pause for a three-month system implementation and a weekend cutover, and any supplier proposing one has not worked in this environment.
So we sequence differently. Find the single most expensive manual process, usually job costing, progress claims, or plant utilisation, and replace only that. Run it in parallel with the existing method for a full cycle so nobody has to trust the new system before it has proved itself. Once it has, the old method stops. Then do the next one.
Each step is short enough to be abandoned if it is not working, which is what makes it safe to start at all. Clients who have been through a failed enterprise implementation recognise this immediately and clients who have not usually want to go faster. We hold the line, because the ones who went faster are the ones we were later called in to rescue.
The other constant is that the real users are supervisors and operators rather than managers, and they are expert at their job and impatient with software. Screens designed in an office and never tested on site get abandoned within a fortnight regardless of how well they were built.

What this costs and how it is structured
Industrial software from an Australian supplier is expensive, partly because the firms that do it well are few and partly because the projects are genuinely complex. Our bands are indicative for original work.
How we price the first step
For operational work we scope the first module separately and deliberately small, because the honest way to judge an industrial software supplier is to watch them deliver one thing and see whether the people who have to use it actually do. If they do, the next module is an easy decision. If they do not, you have spent a limited amount finding out.
| Project | Australian supplier | With us |
|---|---|---|
| Job costing or progress claim system | A$90,000 - A$350,000 | A$8,000 - A$45,000 |
| Plant and equipment tracking | A$60,000 - A$200,000 | A$5,000 - A$25,000 |
| Site data capture application | A$70,000 - A$250,000 | A$6,000 - A$30,000 |
| Reporting and dashboard automation | A$40,000 - A$150,000 | A$3,500 - A$18,000 |

3 hours a day where we are both at a desk
Our working day of 09:30–19:30 IST covers roughly 14:00–24:00 AEST, so the usable overlap is your afternoon against our morning — about three hours, or two when daylight saving is in effect in New South Wales and Victoria. Queensland does not observe it, so Brisbane and the Gold Coast hold a steady four-and-a-half-hour gap all year.
Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles
APP 8 governs cross-border disclosure of personal information, which is the clause that matters when an Australian business engages an offshore developer. In practice it means you remain accountable for what we do with the data, so the contract has to name what we may access, where it is stored and what happens at the end. We work to that structure by default and will sign your template rather than insisting on ours.

What Brisbane buyers ask
We will tell you in the first conversation if we are a poor fit for what you are describing, including when the time difference makes us the wrong choice.
Queensland does not observe daylight saving, so the gap to India stays at four and a half hours all year. Sydney and Melbourne shift between four and a half and five and a half, which means standing meetings drift twice a year unless actively corrected. A weekly call fixed at two in the afternoon Brisbane time stays correct indefinitely.
Yes, through directly transferable Indian work rather than Australian projects, and we say so plainly. Twenty years building job costing, production reporting, plant tracking and site data capture for cement, steel and engineering clients in eastern India maps closely onto what a Queensland resources-services or civil firm needs. The regulatory wrapper differs; the operational structure does not.
By replacing one process at a time rather than everything at once. We identify the single most expensive manual process, build only that, and run it in parallel with the existing method for a full cycle so nobody has to trust it before it has proved itself. Once it has, the old method stops and we move to the next. Each step is small enough to abandon if it is not working.
A job costing or progress claim system is typically A$90,000 to A$350,000 from an Australian supplier and A$8,000 to A$45,000 with us. Plant tracking is A$60,000 to A$200,000 against A$5,000 to A$25,000. These are indicative bands. We scope the first module separately and deliberately small so you can judge delivery before committing further.
That is the question that decides whether the project succeeded, and it is a design problem rather than an engineering one. Site interfaces need large targets, high contrast that survives glare and a grimy screen, one-handed operation and tolerance for lost signal. Critically, the new process has to be faster than the paper it replaces, measured honestly with a stopwatch. We test on site rather than in an office.
