Local SEO that starts where the enquiries actually are
For most local businesses the map pack sends more enquiries than the website does. It is free, it takes an afternoon to set up properly, and almost nobody does it well.
Why the generic answer fails here
Local ranking is decided by relevance, distance and prominence, and only prominence is within your control. That makes local SEO a reputation and consistency exercise rather than a technical one, which is the opposite of what most agencies sell and the reason so many local SEO retainers produce nothing.
When someone searches for a service near them, the first thing they see is a map with three businesses. Those three take a large majority of the clicks and calls, and everything below competes for what is left.
Getting into that group is free and mostly unglamorous. It is not achieved by technical work on your website, which is what most local SEO retainers actually deliver, and it is not achieved by buying anything.
It is achieved by category selection, by making your business name, address and phone identical everywhere online, by accumulating genuine reviews systematically, and by publishing consistently. None of those require a specialist, which is why we tell clients honestly how much of this they can do themselves.
The order that actually works
Local SEO has a correct sequence and most engagements get it wrong by starting with the website.
- 1Category selectionYour primary category carries more weight than almost anything else and is usually chosen carelessly in the first minute of setup and never revisited. Choose the most specific accurate description, look at what the businesses currently ranking use, and re-check quarterly because Google adds categories.
- 2NAP consistencyYour name, address and phone must appear identically, character for character, everywhere online. The most common source of inconsistency is time: a business moves or changes a number, updates Google and its own site, and leaves eleven directory listings contradicting it.
- 3Reviews, systematicallyThe difference between businesses with forty reviews and four is almost never service quality. It is that one asks systematically at the moment of completion with a direct link and the other asks occasionally when they remember. This is the highest-return activity available and it is free.
- 4Profile completenessEvery field, real photographs including the exterior, hours including holidays, services with descriptions, and the questions section seeded with what customers actually ask. A complete profile outranks an incomplete one and completion is entirely within your control.
- 5Then the websitePages for each service you offer, each answering what that service involves and what it costs. This is where we earn our fee, and it comes fifth rather than first.

What we will tell you to do yourself
We are a paid supplier telling you that the highest-return parts of local SEO are free and you can do them without us. That is deliberate, because the alternative is taking a retainer for work that will not produce enquiries.
Asking customers for reviews is the clearest example. Nobody will do this as effectively as the person who delivered the service, at the moment the customer is satisfied, with a direct link. An agency running an automated review-request sequence performs worse and risks the profile if the requests are incentivised.
Keeping the profile current is the second: photographs, hours, posts. It takes twenty minutes a week and requires knowing your business rather than knowing SEO.
What we are genuinely useful for is the parts that need specific skill and sustained time: auditing and correcting citations across directories, building the service-page content that captures non-local search, fixing the technical problems that prevent indexing, and measuring what is actually producing enquiries rather than reporting rankings.

What it costs
Ranges rather than a figure, because the variables below move it more than page count does. We publish these rather than pricing off what a buyer appears able to afford.

Enquiries now arrive with specifications already attached
Our previous website had a stock photograph and a paragraph about commitment to quality. It brought us nothing in four years. Sayak spent two days on our shop floor before drawing anything, and what they built lists our machine capacities, tolerance ranges and certifications in a way a purchasing officer can actually evaluate. The change was not in the number of enquiries so much as in their quality — people now call having already decided we can do the job, so the conversation starts at commercial terms.
They talked us out of half of what we asked for
We went in with a long list of features we were certain we needed. They built roughly half of it and explained clearly why the rest would be maintained forever and used by nobody. Six months on they were right about every item. The store is fast on phones, which matters because that is where almost all of our traffic comes from, and our team updates the catalogue ourselves without calling anyone.
Parallel running for a full month meant nobody had to trust it blind
Replacing a system a clinic depends on is frightening, and most vendors we spoke to proposed a weekend cutover. Sayak ran the new system alongside our registers for a full month and only switched once the numbers matched every day. Our front desk staff were part of the design rather than being trained at the end, which is why they actually use it. Report preparation that took a person most of a morning now takes minutes.
Common questions
If yours is not here, ask it on the call. We would rather answer a hard question early than discover a mismatch in week six.
For most local businesses, yes, in the first year. The map pack takes a large majority of clicks and calls for near-me searches, and the profile is free to optimise. The website matters for non-local search and for confirming the decision, but if you have limited time, the profile is where it should go first.
A well-optimised profile for an established business can produce enquiries within weeks, because local ranking does not depend on domain age the way organic search does. Competitive categories in large cities take longer, and progress there is driven mainly by accumulating genuine reviews and consistent citations over three to six months.
Because the highest-return parts are free and you will do them better than we would. Nobody asks for a review as effectively as the person who delivered the service, at the moment the customer is satisfied. An agency running an automated sequence performs worse and risks your profile if requests are incentivised. Taking a retainer for work that will not produce enquiries is not a service.
No, and they can harm. A handful of relevant accurate listings is worth more than three hundred automated ones, and automated submissions frequently introduce inconsistent name, address and phone data, which is the thing local ranking is most sensitive to. Correcting that afterwards costs more than the service did.
A one-off setup and correction covering profile, citations, NAP standardisation and technical fixes runs ₹25,000 to ₹60,000. Ongoing work with content, citation maintenance and reporting is ₹15,000 to ₹45,000 a month. Multi-location businesses with separate profiles start around ₹45,000 a month.
