Web design and software development company for Coimbatore
Coimbatore is an engineering town, and the systems its foundries, pump makers and textile machinery firms need are the ones we have spent twenty years building for industry in eastern India.
Coimbatore has one of the deepest small and mid-sized engineering clusters in India: pumps and motors, textile machinery, foundries and castings, automotive components, and the machine shops and tooling businesses that supply all of them.
This is close to the purest fit for our experience of any city in the country. A Coimbatore foundry or pump manufacturer costing jobs retrospectively, tracking material on a spreadsheet and reconciling by argument at month end has structurally the same problem as a Howrah fabricator, and we have built that system many times.
What differs from our eastern-India base is the scale of the SME cluster and the density of job work between firms, which makes material moving between businesses a larger part of the picture and a bigger source of inaccuracy.
What Coimbatore engineering firms ask us for
Job costing that reports margin while the job is running rather than after it closed, because a firm quoting on retrospective numbers is bidding on something nobody fully trusts and losing margin across every job all year.
Foundry-specific requirements: heat and melt tracking, sand and metal consumption against pours, rejection and rework recorded at the stage they occur rather than reconciled later, and yield by pattern and by heat, which is where the money actually is.
Job work issue and receipt, since material constantly moves between firms in this cluster. Material at a job worker is a substantial part of working capital and in the spreadsheet version it is usually the least reliable number in the business.
Where we work here
How we work with Coimbatore clients
Same timezone and working week, with on-site discovery practical rather than exceptional. For operational work we travel and budget it into the first phase; for web builds remote delivery is entirely adequate.
Review happens as working software in a browser rather than status documents, and you get a named engineer reachable directly during working hours with no account manager relaying messages.
For operational systems we replace one process at a time, running each in parallel with the existing method for a full cycle before the old method stops. Slower than a single implementation and the reason these projects finish.
Foundry yield, and why it is the number that matters
For a foundry the single most valuable figure is yield by pattern and by heat, and in most of the operations we have seen it is estimated rather than measured.
The mechanics make it easy to lose. Metal charged against a heat, pours across several patterns, returns and runners recycled back, rejections identified at different stages from knockout through to machining, and rework that sometimes salvages a casting and sometimes does not. Each event is recorded somewhere and none of them meet.
The consequence is that a foundry can know its overall metal-to-saleable ratio for a month and not know which pattern is consistently losing money. So the unprofitable work continues to be quoted at the price that made it unprofitable.
A system that fixes it records charge against the heat, allocates pours to patterns, captures rejection at the stage it is identified with a cause code, tracks returns back into the charge, and reports yield and cost per casting by pattern over time.
That is exacting rather than exotic, and it converts quoting from an estimate into arithmetic. It is also the clearest example we know of a system paying for itself from one report.
In practice
Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a proposal template.
Thirty minutes with a senior engineer. You leave with an architecture sketch and an honest cost range, whether or not you hire us.
What this costs
Indicative bands for original work serving Coimbatore. Integration with systems you already run is the largest variable, not page count.

What being near you actually changes
Proximity is easy to claim and harder to demonstrate, so it is worth being specific about where it makes a measurable difference. It matters most in discovery. A specification written from a video call describes what people say they do; a day spent watching the work describes what they actually do, and those are rarely the same document. Almost every scope we have revised for the better was revised after someone stood beside the process.
It matters again at rollout. Adoption of a new system depends far more on being in the room during the first week than on the quality of the training material. When a supervisor finds a screen slower than the register it replaced, that needs to be seen, timed and fixed within a day — not raised as a ticket, triaged, and addressed a fortnight later by which point the register is back in use.
And it matters when something goes wrong. A managed client with a system we operate has an escalation path that reaches a named engineer, and for anything genuinely serious that engineer can be at your premises the same day rather than the same week. In twenty years we have needed that a handful of times, and on each of those occasions it was the difference between an incident and a crisis.
What does not require proximity is the build itself. Two-week slices with a demo every alternate Friday on a real staging URL, written notes after every review, and a named engineer reachable on WhatsApp work identically whether you are in Salt Lake or Singapore. We are deliberate about which phases need presence and which do not, and we budget travel into the proposal rather than treating it as an extra.
In person vs remote
- Discovery workshops and site studies — in person, always.
- Design reviews at each stage — in person where practical.
- Build and iteration — remote, with a fortnightly demo on a staging URL.
- Rollout and first-week support — in person, because adoption depends on it.
- Ongoing support and development — remote, with on-site for serious incidents.

Yes, and yield by pattern and by heat is usually the highest-value output. Metal charged against a heat, pours allocated to patterns, rejection captured at the stage it is identified with a cause code, and returns tracked back into the charge. Most foundries know their monthly metal-to-saleable ratio and cannot say which pattern is losing money, so unprofitable work keeps being quoted at the price that made it unprofitable.
Typically ₹6,00,000 to ₹25,00,000 from a local supplier and ₹2,00,000 to ₹12,00,000 with us. The range depends mainly on how many existing systems it must reconcile with and the state of the data in them. We scope the first module separately and deliberately small so you can judge delivery before committing further.
Tracked as yours but not in your building, with issue and receipt recorded against the job and yield measured on return. In the Coimbatore cluster material moves between firms constantly, and in most spreadsheet-based operations this is the single least reliable number in the business while representing a substantial part of working capital.
Only if it is faster than what they do now, measured with a stopwatch, and only if it works in their conditions. We design for gloves, heat, poor light and intermittent connectivity, and we test on the floor with the people who will use it before the build is finished. Screens designed in an office and never tested on the floor get abandoned within a fortnight.
More directly than to almost anywhere else. The operational problems of a Coimbatore foundry or pump manufacturer are structurally the same as a Howrah fabricator: retrospective costing, material reconciled by argument, machine time estimated. The honest way to test that is a small first module rather than a proposal.
