Offshore software development for Texas businesses
Texas is the American market where our Indian industrial experience transfers most directly. The systems an oilfield services or civil construction firm needs are close to what we have built for heavy industry in eastern India for twenty years.
Texas is operationally minded in a way the coasts are not. Energy and oilfield services, logistics and distribution, construction and engineering, healthcare systems and a fast-growing technology base around Austin and Dallas.
Buyers here are direct about commercials and interested in whether you understand the operation rather than in process theatre. That suits a studio that publishes rates and starts with a scoping call rather than a pitch.
The work skews internal rather than promotional: field data capture, job and project costing, equipment utilisation, logistics visibility and the reporting that currently takes someone several days a month to assemble by hand.
The Texas sectors we work in
Texas buyers are direct about commercials and interested in whether you understand the operation rather than in process theatre. The work skews internal — field data capture, job costing, logistics visibility, plant and equipment reporting — which is close to what we build for Indian industrial clients and easier to demonstrate than to describe.
Areas and precincts we serve
Remote delivery, so geography inside Texas makes no difference to what we can do. Listed because buyers ask.
Field systems, and why most of them fail
The recurring Texas engagement involves people who are not at a desk: crews on a site, drivers, technicians, inspectors. That sets the design constraints and it is where most systems fail.
An interface used in the field needs large targets, contrast that survives direct sun and a dusty screen, one-handed operation, and tolerance for no signal. Above all it has to be faster than what it replaces, measured honestly with a stopwatch. A form taking ninety seconds where the paper ticket took twenty will be bypassed, and the bypass will be blamed on crew discipline rather than on the design.
Offline behaviour has to be designed in rather than added. The application holds local state, records actions as they happen, and synchronises when a connection appears, with explicit conflict handling rather than last-write-wins. Retrofitting that into an online-first system usually produces something that works badly in both modes.
We test these on site with the people who will use them, in the conditions they work in, before the build is finished. That is the part that decides whether the system is used, and it is the part most commonly skipped.
In practice
Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a proposal template.
Thirty minutes with a senior engineer. You leave with an architecture sketch and an honest cost range, whether or not you hire us.
Costing that reports while the job is running
The second recurring Texas requirement is job and project costing that produces a margin figure during the work rather than after it closes.
A firm whose costing is retrospective is bidding the next job on a number nobody fully trusts, and the margin lost across a year of mispriced work is almost always larger than the cost of fixing the system.
What that needs is capture at source: labour booked by the crew as they start and stop rather than allocated from a timesheet reconstructed at week end, material issued against the job at the point of issue including the re-issues nobody logs, equipment hours from the machine where possible, and subcontract costs against the job rather than in a separate register.
The reports that change behaviour are narrow: actual against estimate while the job is live, margin by customer across a period, and estimate accuracy over time by estimator. That last one is uncomfortable and it is the fastest way to improve bidding, because it converts estimating from an opinion into a skill with feedback.

4 hours a day where we are both at a desk
There is no natural overlap worth calling one: US Eastern is ten and a half hours behind India and Pacific thirteen and a half, so a standard Indian working day meets the very start of an East Coast morning and misses the West Coast entirely. We do not pretend otherwise. What we do instead is staff a dedicated US shift — engineers working an afternoon-to-night roster in India that covers roughly 09:00 to 13:00 Eastern, about four hours of genuine live overlap, extended for West Coast accounts. That is a rota decision rather than a clock trick, and it is how Indian studios have served American clients for two decades.
State privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA and successors), plus sector rules
There is no single federal privacy statute, which surprises buyers who expect a GDPR equivalent. What applies depends on your state and your sector: California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and others have comprehensive consumer privacy laws with differing obligations, and HIPAA, GLBA or FERPA may sit on top depending on what you do. Cross-border transfer is generally less restricted than in Europe, so the constraint is usually contractual rather than statutory. We sign your DPA, complete your vendor security questionnaire, and where you are in a regulated sector we build to the standard your compliance team defines.
Regulator: State attorneys general; FTC; sector regulators
What Texas buyers ask
We will tell you in the first conversation if we are a poor fit for what you are describing, including when the time difference makes us the wrong choice.
Yes, through Indian industrial work rather than American projects, and we say so plainly. Twenty years building job costing, production tracking, equipment utilisation and field capture for cement, steel and engineering clients in eastern India transfers closely to a Texas oilfield services or civil construction firm. The regulatory wrapper differs; the operational structure does not.
Only if it is faster than what they do now, measured with a stopwatch, and only if it works in their conditions: direct sun, dust, gloves, no signal. Offline behaviour has to be designed in rather than added, with local state and explicit conflict handling. We test on site with the crew before the build is finished, which is the part most commonly skipped.
Typically $100,000 to $400,000 from a US supplier and $5,000 to $34,000 with us. The range depends mainly on how many existing systems it must reconcile with and the state of the data in them. We scope and price the first module separately and deliberately small so you can judge delivery before committing further.
Central time is eleven and a half hours behind India. Our staffed US shift covers roughly your morning, giving about three to four hours of live overlap, with written handover landing before your next day. For field system work most collaboration is asynchronous anyway, so the constraint is smaller here than for a design-led engagement.
