Web and software development for Singapore businesses
Singapore is the most demanding market in Asia and the one with the highest standards of process. Buyers here pay for reliability rather than the lowest rate and ask harder questions about security than anywhere except Sydney, which suits a supplier that keeps its documentation ready.
Singapore does not buy offshore development because it is cheap. Local rates are high and a Singapore business can afford them, so the motivation is usually capacity, specialist skill, or the simple fact that the local talent market is small and competitive enough that hiring takes months.
That changes the conversation. A Singapore buyer is not testing whether offshore works. They are testing whether you are reliable, whether your security posture survives their review, and whether you will still be delivering consistently in eighteen months. Price is a factor and rarely the deciding one.
The second thing worth knowing is that Singapore is frequently a regional buying centre. A company headquartered here is often buying for operations across South East Asia, so an engagement that begins as a Singapore project turns into work spanning Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. We treat the first project as the interview it is.
Singapore Standard Time is two and a half hours ahead of India. Our working day covers your afternoon and early evening, roughly six hours of genuine overlap, with morning work landing with us as it happens.
What a Singapore security review asks, and our answers
Singapore is the Asian market where we most often go through formal vendor assessment, and the questions are consistent enough that we keep the answers documented rather than assembling them each time.
Where does data reside. Our default is that production data stays in your cloud account, in the Singapore region if you want it there, and we access it under named credentials you issue and can revoke. We hold no copy. For most builds we develop against anonymised or synthetic datasets and never touch production personal data at all.
Who has access. Named individuals, not a team. Access is logged, reviewed at each milestone and revoked at completion or the day a person leaves the engagement, whichever is sooner.
What happens at the end. Code, credentials, documentation and any data we hold are handed over on completion, and deletion obligations are contractual rather than a policy statement. We also do a handover period with your team rather than delivering a repository and disappearing.
The PDPA permits transfer outside Singapore where the recipient is bound by legally enforceable obligations providing a comparable standard of protection, which in practice means contractual clauses. We sign them as standard. For financial-sector clients, MAS outsourcing and technology risk management guidelines add the requirement that you retain oversight of a material service provider and can evidence it, which shapes how we document access and change control.
In practice
Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a proposal template.
Thirty minutes with a senior engineer. You leave with an architecture sketch and an honest cost range, whether or not you hire us.
Six hours of overlap, and what it supports
Singapore is two and a half hours ahead of India with no daylight saving on either side, so the gap never moves. Our 09:30 to 19:30 IST day is 12:00 to 22:00 Singapore time.
That gives roughly six hours of genuine overlap across your afternoon and early evening. It supports daily calls in your afternoon, live code review, and a question raised after lunch being resolved the same day.
Your morning is our early hours, so work you do then lands with us and is picked up at the start of our day. In practice Singapore clients find they get a response to anything raised in the morning by early afternoon, which is closer to a domestic supplier relationship than an offshore one.

What we cost in Singapore dollars
Singapore agency and consultancy rates are among the highest in Asia. Indicative bands for original work with us.
On GST
We invoice from India, so Singapore GST is not charged on our fees. As a GST-registered business you may have reverse-charge obligations on imported services under the overseas vendor regime. Confirm with your accountant; we are not Singapore tax advisers.

Regional delivery from a Singapore base
A meaningful share of our Singapore enquiries are from companies buying for operations elsewhere in South East Asia. A regional headquarters wants one supplier building for Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai entities rather than four local ones with four standards.
That is a good fit for us and it changes what matters in the build. Multi-entity data separation, multi-currency and multi-tax handling, and content that can be localised without re-engineering all need to be designed in from the start rather than retrofitted when the second country is added.
We will be honest about the limits. We handle English-language delivery well. For interfaces requiring Bahasa, Thai or Vietnamese we can build the internationalisation layer and integrate translations, but the translation and cultural review should come from someone native to that market, and we will say so rather than producing machine-translated interfaces that look adequate to a non-speaker.

0 markets, each with a different problem
These are not the same page with the place name swapped. The industries, the buying pattern and the work we are asked for differ materially between them, which is why each has its own.

Enquiries now arrive with specifications already attached
Our previous website had a stock photograph and a paragraph about commitment to quality. It brought us nothing in four years. Sayak spent two days on our shop floor before drawing anything, and what they built lists our machine capacities, tolerance ranges and certifications in a way a purchasing officer can actually evaluate. The change was not in the number of enquiries so much as in their quality — people now call having already decided we can do the job, so the conversation starts at commercial terms.
They talked us out of half of what we asked for
We went in with a long list of features we were certain we needed. They built roughly half of it and explained clearly why the rest would be maintained forever and used by nobody. Six months on they were right about every item. The store is fast on phones, which matters because that is where almost all of our traffic comes from, and our team updates the catalogue ourselves without calling anyone.
Parallel running for a full month meant nobody had to trust it blind
Replacing a system a clinic depends on is frightening, and most vendors we spoke to proposed a weekend cutover. Sayak ran the new system alongside our registers for a full month and only switched once the numbers matched every day. Our front desk staff were part of the design rather than being trained at the end, which is why they actually use it. Report preparation that took a person most of a morning now takes minutes.
What Singapore buyers ask us
If yours is not here, ask it directly. We would rather tell you we are a poor fit in the first call than in month three.
Yes, where the overseas recipient is bound by legally enforceable obligations providing a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA. In practice that means contractual clauses, which we sign as standard. For most builds the cleaner answer is that we develop against anonymised or synthetic datasets and never hold production personal data at all.
Two and a half hours, constant, with no daylight saving on either side. Our day covers 12:00 to 22:00 Singapore time, giving roughly six hours of overlap across your afternoon and early evening. Work done in your morning lands with us and is picked up at the start of our day, so most morning queries are answered by early afternoon.
We build to them. MAS outsourcing and technology risk management guidelines require that you retain oversight of a material service provider and can evidence it. In practice that means named individuals with logged access, version-controlled and attributable changes, documentation readable by someone who was not involved, and an exit plan in the contract from day one. Your compliance team should review any specific arrangement.
A custom web application typically runs S$80,000 to 400,000 from a Singapore agency and S$6,000 to 55,000 with us. A corporate site with a CMS is S$25,000 to 90,000 against S$2,200 to 7,000. Indicative bands for original work. Singapore buyers rarely choose on price alone, and we would not encourage it.
Yes, and it is a common pattern from Singapore. Multi-entity separation, multi-currency and multi-tax handling and a proper internationalisation layer need designing in from the start rather than retrofitted. We deliver English-language work well; for Bahasa, Thai or Vietnamese interfaces we build the layer and integrate translations, but native review should come from that market.
